Eat Drink Locals is a culmination of over thirty years of combined experience and technical product development engineered directly into one unified solution.
Our users dictated exactly what we built from our early days of NetDesign. There has always been a serious operational need for a more intuitive way to manage web parameters. Because legacy developers continuously struggled with deployment loops, we built an HTML WYSIWYG editor called Activedit, designed to embed seamlessly into existing websites. We grew to support over 8,000 corporate clients globally.
Following ActivMail, our enterprise accounts explained that traditional mail servers could not process the high velocity transmission output. One single brand deployment alone scaled across over forty independent mail servers to handle our distribution loops! From that exact operational challenge, we built the XMS Mail Server and Campaign Intelligence ecosystems. Operating as Zrinity, we scaled these solutions for years before one of our original founding partners, Rob Thrasher, returned with a widespread industry problem.
Rob transitioned into selling online enterprise solutions across the marketplace. He witnessed restaurant operators constantly fighting to manage active marketing campaigns alongside daily floor operations. They routinely outsourced basic site changes to slow third parties, ignored direct email channels due to structural complexity, and paid ad networks for social engagement without capturing any underlying audience profile data. They couldn't identify their frequent diners, and worse yet, had zero systemic way to reliably contact walk-in guests after they exited the building.
⚡ They were forced to distribute general margin-cutting offers to arbitrary areas at the wrong times. We initiated our new development phase to eliminate this workflow, and today we are proud to deploy the fully unified Krowd retention engine.

Yes, we have a native history managing physical floor operations. One of our core founders owned and operated the Creative Cafe in Utica, NY alongside his wife, Tami. The venue operated until 1999 when they chose to transition focus toward building a family. The baseline structural challenges faced on that floor directly inspired the core architecture behind the Krowd engine.
